Tracee Ellis Ross Wins 2017 Golden Globe Award For Blackish!

Tracee Ellis Ross made history atĀ Golden Globes 2017 on Sunday night, when she became the first black woman to win in the Best Actress in a TV Comedy or Musical category in 35 years. The last recipient of that award was Debbie Allen back in 1982 for the TV show Fame.

Ellis Ross was honored for her vibrant portrayal of Dr. Rainbow “Bow” Johnson on ABC’s black-ish, where she plays opposite Anthony Anderson (Andre “Dre” Johnson) as the two African-American professionals raise their four children in a spirited household that is never lacking in humor and vitality.
